Matchstick Witherling • Common Strain
Ikkit begin with a mask-face like other Familiars, but the mask is very frail and burns away quickly while acting as a sort of kindling. While they still have the mask, they roam around looking for something to ignite them in dry areas where wild fires are common... when they are on fire it burns very briefly, then when it dies down they will always continue to smolder until the body is consumed. Sometimes they will stay in groups and burn all together in a great frenzy; these groups often cause forest fires.

These particular witherlings sound terrifying, just because of their...wandering...destruction. I can't imagine how freaky it would be walking around and then seeing a group of burning critters just sauntering around burning together..Would make for an interesting landscape drawing though... O-O
