Tomb Witherling • Common Strain
Kirgavik gather near the entrances of caves and large hollow spaces, and will encourage passers by to follow them inside. They collect rotten and decaying matter in different chambers of the space, sometimes so much detritus accumulates that they must carry visitors through on their backs. Very few venture in due to the stench, but some small Witherlings rely on this unique environment to thrive and visit often. Kirgavik are not sinister, they do not harm others but only gather their remains; still many are wary of them because of their relationship with death.

I love all these Witherling creatures, each one has such a curious story behind it. How do you decide on the names? They sound somewhat Icelandic.

The names are derived from various words/syllables from Inuit/Greenland/etc languages. Glad you like them~

oh, so i was on the right track :] The names hold almost as much interest to me as the backgrounds do. They were so unusual, but seemed very deliberate. it'd be neat if you included the origin behind some of the names, but maybe that's just me, lol.
